A unique opportunity to learn how to make your own traditional leather pastlad (Estonian folk shoes)!
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 20 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Instructor: Clothing historian and footwear designer Katrin Koch-Maasing.
Cost: $70
Workshop overview:
-A brief history of the origins of pastlad
-Instruction on the traditional technique of making leather pastlad without rubber soles. You can choose between a rounded or pointed toe style.
-All participants will leave with their own handmade leather pastlad, along with the design pattern and the skills needed to make them independently in the future.
